FAW Coach Diversity Programme
The Football Association of Wales are committed to ensuring football is for EVERYONE and its workforce is representative of Welsh society. To achieve key objectives outlined in our PAWB Equality Diversity and Inclusion Strategy the FAW has established the FAW Coach Diversity Programme. The Programme is an initiative designed to support more coaches from underrepresented communities to become qualified Coaches and to progress in their coaching journey providing financial contributions towards FAW Coaching Courses.
Who can apply?
The current programme is only open to individuals who are:
• From Black, Asian and Mixed-Heritage backgrounds.
• Based in Wales.
• Aged 16 or older.
• Be willing to undertake all elements and requirements of the applied course.
Available Course Applications
UEFA B Licence (2024)
The FAW are currently providing bursary places for the 2024 UEFA B Licence Courses. Please note in
addition to the above programme criteria, applicants must hold a valid FAW C Licence.

How to apply?
To apply for the FAW Coach Diversity Programme for one of the above available courses please
complete the application form HERE.
The application does not offer a guaranteed placement on a course. Bursary recipients are still
required to apply for courses in the same way as non-bursary candidates. Successful applicants will
be awarded a bursary for the full cost of the course.
